Winter is coming – and so are the holidays!
It’s that time of year when the snow begins to fall, the temperature continues to drop, and hot chocolate with marshmallows curled up at home seems like the most inviting evening. Here at the Edmonton Valley Zoo, we want to help you out of your hibernation to spend some time under the lights with our animals at Zoominescence this December!

Zoominescence 2021 will showcase a spectacular exhibition of artistic light installations within one of the most unique and interesting places, the Edmonton Valley Zoo! The festival celebrates light, artistry, and imagination! Come together for an evening this December to celebrate the strong spirit of community in the winter.
There is something for the entire family at Zoominescence. Walk through the zoo and indulge your creative side with beautiful light installations. Kick off your shoes and switch them for blades as you take on one of Canada’s favourite winter activities and skate with us on the outdoor rink. And of course, don’t forget to let your inner child out and enjoy the company of our many animals at our zoo!

*Please note, the Zoominescence evening hours are the ONLY hours the zoo will be open during this time period.
