If you need a little more motivation to get there, how about a fun, LEGO-themed birthday party for your nature lover and little builder? While the zoo has always offered amazing birthday party opportunities for kids, we’re excited to announce our newest one: Animal Architects.
During your hour-and-a-half guided program with one of our amazing interpreters, party goers will learn about conservation and nature through an exciting and unique tour of the zoo. With Animal Architects, the conversation leans toward animals that build in the wild. For example, the birds building nests for their eggs, small mammals – such as meerkats – creating elaborate tunnels to build homes and escape routes, or the honeybees establishing perfectly symmetrical honeycombs. Animals in the wild have truly remarkable skills! After your guided tour, your birthday party group will have a chance to show off their own building skills with – you guessed it! – LEGO!
Using a bin of LEGO from our more than 6,300-piece brick collection, different challenges will be set for your party to complete. Things like building imaginary animals, or creating an exhibit to have friends guess which animal it’s meant for. To stay environmentally friendly, all LEGO creations will have to remain at the zoo to be cleaned and prepped for the next group of partiers.
Like all of our birthday parties, once your zoo activities are complete, you will be able to stay in your assigned party room for cake, additional activities, and even more fun! Hungry after all of that fun? Let our onsite partner, Prairie Catering, look after your party’s empty tummies.
